Acupoints for Liver Yin Deficiency

🗺️ Meridian: Kidney Meridian

🇨🇳 Chinese: 陰谷 (yīn gǔ)

🎯 Location: When knee is flexed point is on the medial side of the popliteal fossa between tendons of the semitendinosus and semimembranosus at the level with ub40.

⚠️ Cautions: No specific contraindications.

🛡️ Treats: diarrhoea, depression, distension:abdomen, pain:abdomen, pain

🗺️ Meridian: Bladder Meridian

🇨🇳 Chinese: 睛明 (jīng míng)

🎯 Location: In the depression the slightly above the inner canthus.

⚠️ Cautions: Contraindicated for direct needling; use only pressure.

🛡️ Treats: heat, wind, redness, swelling, aversion:cold

🗺️ Meridian: Stomach Meridian

🇨🇳 Chinese: 髀關 (bì guān)

🎯 Location: On the anterior side of the thigh on the line connecting asis and laterosuperior corner of the patella on the level of the inferior pubis symphasis when thigh is fixed in the depression the lateral to the sartorius.

⚠️ Cautions: Caution with depth near femoral vessels.

🛡️ Treats: jaundice, pain, pain:thigh, sciatica, pain:back:lumbar

🗺️ Meridian: Large Intestine Meridian

🇨🇳 Chinese: 合谷 (hé gǔ)

🎯 Location: On the dorsum of the hand between 1st & 2nd metacarpal bones approximately in the middle of the 2nd metacarpal bone on the radial side.

⚠️ Cautions: Contraindicated during pregnancy; avoid in first trimester.

🛡️ Treats: fever, tinnitus, release:exterior, amenorrhea, wind

🗺️ Meridian: Bladder Meridian

🇨🇳 Chinese: 肝俞 (gān yú)

🎯 Location: 1.5 thumb widths lateral to the du8 at the level of the lower border of the spinous process of the 9th thoracic vertebra.

⚠️ Cautions: Avoid deep perpendicular needling.

🛡️ Treats: cough, pain:chest, dizziness, cough:blood, jaundice

🗺️ Meridian: Spleen Meridian

🇨🇳 Chinese: 三陰交 (sān yīn jiāo)

🎯 Location: 3 thumb widths directly above the tip of the medial malleolus posterior to the medial border of the tibia.

⚠️ Cautions: Contraindicated during pregnancy except for labor induction.

🛡️ Treats: diarrhoea, dizziness, tinnitus, palpitations, distension:abdomen
