Agreement to terms

By accessing or using AcuiQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

Medical disclaimer

Content license

Three kinds of content appear on AcuiQ, and they carry three different positions:

• AcuiQ-authored prose – the symptom and meridian descriptions, every wiki page, and the published crosswalks – is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, adapt, and redistribute it, including commercially and in AI retrieval systems, fine-tuning datasets, and other derivative works, with attribution. Recommended attribution: "Source: AcuiQ (https://acuiq.com), CC BY 4.0"; attribution at the dataset or system level is sufficient.
• The compilation – the assembled protocol corpus, meaning the extraction, the resolution of every reference, and the arrangement – is licensed to build on, not to republish. You may query it, analyse it, and use what you learn from it in your own work, with attribution. You may not redistribute it whole or substantially whole as a dataset, or as a product whose main value is access to it. This is the same line the written licence inside the corpus export draws; until now this page contradicted it, and the corpus licence is the one that was right.
• The underlying findings are the cited sources' claims, not ours to license: each protocol entry records what a published source prescribed and carries its citation. Verify against the cited source before relying on an entry.
• Imagery. The ear and scalp-line plates in the atlas are AcuiQ's own drawings and carry the same CC BY 4.0 grant. The body diagrams – the muscular, dermal and skeletal layers and the point crops cut from them – are reproduced under a separate arrangement and are not licensed for reuse.

The AcuiQ name and logo are not covered by this grant. Nothing in this grant is medical advice – the medical disclaimer above applies to all reuse.

On the change. This page previously placed the compilation under CC BY 4.0 alongside the prose. CC BY 4.0 is irrevocable, so anything published under it stays published under it: this narrows what is granted from here on and takes nothing back. If you built on the corpus under the earlier wording, that grant still holds for what you had.

Searching AcuiQ is free and always will be, and so is every per-query API call, every markdown twin, and every tool on the MCP server. Three bulk exports carry a small per-request payment, which buys the convenience of one request rather than a thousand – not a right the licence above does not already give you. The terms are published at /llms.txt.

Purchases and payment

If you purchase products or services through our service:

• You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase information
• All prices are in USD and subject to change
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders
• Payment processing is handled securely through third-party providers

Refund policy

All sales are final. A digital product arrives complete the moment your payment clears, so there is nothing to send back and nothing to refund. Search the index free and read the sample before you buy.

• Digital content: no refunds, whole or partial
• Physical products: no refunds. Anything that arrives damaged or incorrect is replaced
• If a download link fails or serves the wrong file, write to info@acuiq.com and we will fix it

This section does not remove a right the law gives you. Some countries grant consumers a refund right a seller cannot contract out of, the United Kingdom and the European Union among them. Where one applies, it takes precedence over everything above.

Prohibited uses

You may not use our service:

• For any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
• To transmit harmful or malicious code
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate AcuiQ or others
• To harass, abuse, or harm others
• To collect or track personal information of others
• To interfere with or circumvent security features
• To collect the corpus in bulk by automated means – scraping the pages or looping the free per-query endpoints to reassemble what the bulk exports and the corpus licence provide

Intellectual property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by AcuiQ and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Ownership is unchanged by the content license above: AcuiQ-authored content remains AcuiQ's, licensed under CC BY 4.0; the AcuiQ name, logo, and the service's code and design are not licensed.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AcuiQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Any health outcomes from self-treatment
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Any other matter relating to the service

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Results obtained from use will be accurate or reliable
• The quality of any products or services will meet your expectations

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AcuiQ and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which AcuiQ operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
