The short version

AcuiQ has no accounts, no login and no user records. Nothing on this site identifies you.

What is recorded

  • A symptom tally. Each search adds one row to a count for the symptom it matched, with a timestamp and nothing else. The count ranks the suggestions on the home page. A search that matches no symptom is counted as a miss, with the term you typed, so the index can be extended; the miss is not linked to you.
  • Page views. Plausible Analytics counts visits. It sets no cookie, stores no IP address, and holds no identifier that follows you between sites.
  • A product rating. If you rate a product, the rating is stored against a one-way hash of your IP address so one visitor cannot rate the same product twice. The hash cannot be reversed to reach you. Your own rating is also kept in your browser’s local storage so the page can show it back to you.

What is not recorded

No account, no email, no name, no search history tied to a person, no advertising or cross-site tracker, no analytics cookie. There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.

Payments

Stripe runs checkout and takes your card, email and delivery address directly. AcuiQ never sees a card number. A completed order leaves AcuiQ with the product bought, the amount, and the page the purchase started from. Stripe’s own privacy notice governs what Stripe holds.

Third-party services

Plausible (analytics) and Stripe (payments) are the only third parties that receive anything from your visit. Result cards link to the papers they cite; those sites have their own policies.

Your rights

Nothing here is linked to you, so there is no record to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to privacy@acuiq.com and it will be checked.

Children

The site collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

Changes are posted on this page with a new date. How the index itself is built is described in About & Method.
