The reference behind the protocols

What the protocol database cannot say for itself: how the index is built and what it refuses to do, what systematic reviews and guidelines report condition by condition, how each technique is done, how points are named and coded, what the warnings on a point mean, the frame the prescriptions were written in, and what reading this literature at scale turns up. Every page says what it rests on and when that was last checked.

The infobox beside each page gives its basis, classical texts or modern research or both, and the reader it was written for. The evidence section takes one condition at a time and reports what Cochrane and other systematic reviews, the larger trials and the clinical guidelines found, including how certain a review judged the evidence where it graded it.
